We learnt with great sadness today of the passing of Michael Daly, Quay Road.
A lifelong member and friend to our club. From a family steeped in our Village, Michael won a Minor Hurling Title with Clarecastle in 1975, played Senior Hurling with the club and was a Selector and Mentor with multiple underage teams.
Kind and generous to a fault, Michael's wide smile was an integral part of any Magpie or Banner celebration, he was a true supporter of our club.
There will be a Guard of Honour directly outside Clarecastle Church following his funeral mass at 12 midday on Thursday.
Our sympathies to the Daly Family and his wide circle of friends.
