If an informal resolution cannot be found within the club, the matter will be forwarded to the county children's officer who will initiate the gaa's formal process.
Substances & Addiction - link to information and supports available about the impact of substance abuse and addictions such as gambling.
Training Schedules - Managers and coaches are asked to adhere to the time slots for training sessions. If training sessions are constantly running over time it can be frustrating for the parents of underage players in particular as they may have other children to collect or drop off. Parents of underage players are asked to drop and collect their children on time for sessions. Underage players should not be arriving at, or leaving on sessions on their own unless you have given notice the club using this form.
GAA Go Games - GAA Go Games are Camogie, Hurling and Gaelic Football for children up to and including 12 years of age.
Coach Training - Tobar contains learning resources for coaches at all levels and experience. Those working with underage players must have vetting and safeguarding 1 as minimum qualifications. Team activities may be suspended if qualifications are not valid.
Coach Recruitment Form - Coaches / mentors joining a team need to complete this form BEFORE they are brought into active roles with teams. This allows us to keep our records up to date and ensure that team activities will not be suspended or that the club will not face fines if audits are conducted.
Players, at all levels should use time outside of training to improve their skills. Training slots are used to master the skills and game time is where the skills are put into action. It is important that players have regular attendance at training sessions.
Underage Player Improvement - Parents should encourage players to work on movement and skills outside of training times. The resources under the Schools section in Tobar can be a useful source of information for parents.
