Hard luck to the U13 boys who lost out to Crusheen/Tubber in the B Hurling Shield Final in Crusheen this evening.
Crusheen/Tubber superior eye for goals gave them a 3-7 to 1-7 win despite some great skill and effort by both teams.
While both sides exchanged points in the first half it was Crusheen/Tubber two goals in the 12th and 28th minute that put them in a strong position with a 2-3 to 0-3 lead at half-time.
In the first quarter of the second half Crusheen/Tubber hit 3 points while Kiernan Sheridan scored two pointed frees for his side.
In the final quarter Oisin Plunkett found the net for the Magpies while Kiernan Sheridan pointed from a free leaving the game three points between the sides.
A third goal for the opposition with less than five minutes remaining left the score beyond doubt for Crusheen/Tubber to earn a comfortable victory.
