The Clarecastle NS 4th class league finals were held on Monday. All 4th class students have been playing hurling and football games over the last month. In two thrilling finals, Tipperary, captained by Sean Fogarty, emerged victorious in the hurling final and Waterford, captained by Jack Drennan, won the football final.
These games were organised by club coach Eoin Brennan, who has done great work with all students from junior infants to 4th class throughout the year.
Thanks to club senior hurler, Rory O'Connell, for presenting the trophies and medals to the finalists. Rory's message to the children was to take every opportunity to get the hurley and sliotar into your hands, to keep practicing as some children develop later than others.
Well done to all.
