U15 A Féile na nGael Hurling Semi Final
Clarecastle 5-13 Scariff/Ogonnelloe 3-13 after extra time.
Congrats to our U15 Hurlers who have reached the final after a very hard fought victory that went to extra time against Scariff/Ogonnelloe this morning in the Féile A Semi Final. The Magpies lead at the break by 2 points with goals through Paddy Sweeney, Ruairi Keogh, Sean Meere and points from Diarmuid Egan, Rory Ralph, Sean Kelly & Killian Casey.
Scariff/Ogonnelloe nodded ahead in the second half scoring 1-1 while Darragh McDonnell & Sean Meere responded with further points. A third goal put our opponents 4 points ahead. Paddy Sweeney replied scoring 1-1 and Darragh McDonnell point but Clarecastle back in front. A equaliser point from a free forced the game to extra time on a score line of 4-9 to 3-12.
Both sides exchanged points in extra time but it was Killian Casey penalty that extended the lead for the Magpies to earn a place in the final.
The final whistle was greeted with huge excitement by this group of players to reach the final against Ballyea which is scheduled for tomorrow Monday April 10 at 12.30pm in Caherlohan.
