Well done to the U15 Academy B team who had their first win with a victory over the Banner on homesoil this morning in Rd. 1.

An excellent all round team display saw the Magpies lead from start to finish. Clarecastle finished the first half with an unanswered 1-6 to 0-0 with scores through Charlie McFadden (0-3, 1f), Eoin Kearney (0-1), Jack Ellingstad (0-2f) and Daniel Quinn (1-0f).

The Banner soon settled opening the first score of the second half with a point which was soon cancelled with a point through Fionn Plunkett.

The Banner dominated the next 15 minutes scoring 0-5 without reply. Excellent defensive display through Martin Sweeney, Killian Casey, Jack Mullahy, Oisin Cunnigham & Gavin McEnery helped their side to stay on top and power on to victory which contributed to the two last minute points from Fionn Plunkett (1) & Jack Ellingstad (1f).
