Its with great sadness that our club has learned of the passing of Michael Hayes, Patrick Street.

Michael, who was a talented midfielder, enjoyed a successful hurling career at underage and senior level and was a member of our 1970 Senior Championship winning team. In 2015 Michael served as Honorary Club President. 

He was an ever-present supporter of the club throughout his life and a great friend to everyone.

Michael was also involved in Irish Music and was one of the founding members of the first Comhaltas Branch in Clarecastle.

We offer our deepest sympathies to his wife Mary, daughters Anne, June and Fiona, grandchildren Colin, Niall, Luke, Alli, Kate & Lucy and the extended Hayes family.

The club will form a guard of honour for Michael after the funeral mass on Saturday.
