Clarecastle 0-13 Clooney/Quin 0-18

Our U17s Hurlers were in action this morning against Clooney/Quin in Rd. 6 of the Championship.

The lads got off to an excellent start with 6 points on the scoreboard within 5 minutes through Niall Brigdale (1), Aaron Hayes (2, 1f), Oisin Whelan (1), Evan O’Connell (1) and James Doherty (1). Clooney/Quin soon settled with 3 unanswered points. Further points from both sides left three points between the sides at the interval in favour of Clarecastle, 0-8 to 0-5.

In the second half both sides exchanged points but it was the visitor’s who pulled away in the last 5 minutes to win by 5.

The Final Round v. Ballyea will take place on the weekend of Oct 9th/10th.
