Clarecastle had to settle for a draw against Doora Barefield in Round 5 of the Championship this evening after a superb first half performance with three well taken goals finished in the net from James Doherty, Tola Carmody & Scott Brack. Points from Doherty (0-4), Oisin Whelan (0-2), Aaron Hayes (0-1f) & Scott Brack (0-2f) gave their side a lead of 3-9 to 0-5 at the break.

Doora Barefield started the second half on top and reduced the arrears to 5 points midway. Tiernan Collins (1) & James Doherty (2) added points for their side while their opponents scored a further 0-3. Five minutes remaining Doora Barefield were rewarded three frees in a row to equalise the game.
