Clarecastle 2-17 Éire Óg 0-14

Clarecastle secured a win over Éire Óg this evening in Clarecastle in Round 4 of the U17A Championship. Both sides got off to a good start trading point to point. It was Scott Brack who kept the scoreboard ticking over with some well taken frees while James Doherty (1) & Tiernan Collins(1) also notched up points to level the game at half time on a score of 0-10 to 0-10.

The major turning point of the game came 7 mins into the second half when Niall Brigdale pass to substitute Michael Sweeney rattled the net to give his side the lead followed by a second goal 5 minutes later from Tiernan Collins. Further points from Oisin Whelan (0-5f) was enough to seal a victory.
