As we all know by now COVID is having a severe impact on our society and businesses in Ireland.
ClareCastle GAA is no exception, we have come at a point where we need more Clarecastle shoulders to support the ClareCastle GAA club as a whole in order to keep the doors open.
Due to the lockdown and limitations on gatherings, rental fees, sponsorships, club membership and other financial incentives have experienced a sharp downturn, while the costs of keeping the club ready for everyone remained the same.
As an example, 85% of all your club membership fees are paid out to register and insure playing members of all ages, therefore that leaves the club to use between €2,000 and €3,000 to put in place the best conditions possible for our playing members, while these costs are a lot higher.
Field & Clubhouse maintenance annual cost - €25,000
All team costs - €12,000
From underage (boys and girls) to adults for new jerseys, cleaning jerseys, sliotars and footballs, gym and other equipment
To cover the gap we have been able to get loans but the Loan repayments on facilities have risen to - €18,000 what now becomes an extra burden to the Club.
We are now at a point where we need you to think about what the GAA means to you and your family, where can you help to curb the financial distress the club is under before its too late.
Any idea is welcome and can be posted on Facebook while keeping in mind that we need to keep that COVID virus away from us as much as we can
The Executive is trying its best to steer the club away from a certain financial catastrophe, but without your help, it's not possible.
Please think , help us to plan and do the best thing for the club so we can keep our doors open for all the new talent that is in Clare Castle
