Hard luck to our U13 Academy side, who were unlucky against Inagh-Kilnamona in the Shield Final today.

Clarecastle were first to find the net only a few mins after the first whistle, but Inagh-Kilnamona responded with a number of points in quick succession to take the lead. They built on that throughout the first half and went into the break with a comfortable advantage.

But there was no sense of defeat about this Clarecastle squad coming out for the second half. They came back with real fire in their bellies and put in an absolutely Trojan effort.

Their resilience and their determination to keep going right to the final whistle was so admirable. They never stopped trying, and they never stopped believing they could make a game of it.

We may not have brought home the silverware today, but there is plenty of fight in these boys and plenty more to come. They did themselves, their families and their club very proud today.

Now it's a dust off and reset as we face into the B Cup Final next weekend against The Banner. 🖤🤍
