⚫⚪ U12 Croke Park Day Out ⚪⚫
What a day for our U12s! 🌟
Clare received five places this year for the U12 Croke Park Days, and Clarecastle was fortunate enough to be one of the clubs selected to participate.
Drawn in a group with Rockwell Rovers, Clonea and St Patrick's, our boys made the journey to the hallowed grounds of Croke Park on Monday for what was a truly memorable experience.
It was an early start, leaving Clarecastle at 8am and arriving in Dublin around midday after a quick stop for refreshments along the way. From 1pm to 2pm, the lads took to the famous pitch and played three 11-a-side games against Rockwell Rovers, St Patrick's and Clonea.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play in Croke Park, creating memories that will last a lifetime. After their games, they were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, including visits to the dressing rooms, warm-up area and players' lounge. The day was rounded off with a climb up the steps of the iconic Hogan Stand.
Before heading home, we stopped off for some well-earned food, arriving back in Clarecastle just before 8pm after a long but unforgettable day.
A huge thank you to our coaches Alan, Noel, Dave and Noel, and to our bus driver Michael, whose patience and good humour helped make the day run so smoothly.
Hopefully, this won't be the last time we see some of these boys playing in Croke Park. But even if it is, they'll always be able to say they played on one of the most famous pitches in Ireland. 🏐⚫⚪
