U13 boys from Clarecastle made the journey to the annual tournament in Lisdowney today.
They put in two outstanding performances to win both of their qualifying matches and, as a result, have qualified for the Cup Finals at the Lisdowney 7s next weekend.
The Lisdowney 7s is one of the most prestigious underage hurling competitions in the country. It has been running for 44 years, and Clarecastle has proudly competed there for roughly the last 30 years. The tournament began with 32 teams, and after today's qualifying rounds, just 8 teams remain in the Cup, including Clarecastle, with another 8 teams competing in the Shield.
What a fantastic day for the lads at Lisdowney! Enjoy today's achievement, and we'll look forward to giving a great account of ourselves next weekend!
