Hard luck to our U14 footballers who put in a tenacious performance this morning in the DivC final against Western Gaels on our home turf.

The Magpies were first onto the scoreboard with Captain, Tony Óg Barry, burying one in the first few minutes, and Harry Morrisroe hitting  the net again not long after. There were also some well taken points from Harry Morrisroe, Thomas Keenan, and Ado Leyden but all the lads set the tone for a very competitive contest. Johnny Murphy was also solid between the sticks, keeping the Gaels at bay.

Trailing narrowly at the break, the boys battled right to the bitter end but it just wasn’t to be, losing out at the death by three points.

Western Gaels 3-10
Clarecastle to 3-7
