A super win for our U14s in Round 3 of the football today against St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield, played in perfect autumn sunshine conditions.
The Magpies got off to a strong start with an early goal from Finn Ellingstad and some fine scores that gave them early momentum. However, as the half progressed, St Joseph’s responded strongly and edged ahead by the break.
The second half produced more fluid football from both sides, but it was the Magpies who made the decisive breakthroughs, finding the net twice more and finishing out the game with a well-deserved victory.
