Hard luck to our U17s who gave it everything but just couldn’t close the gap on a strong Doora Barefield side in the Academy Semi Final this evening in Gurteen.

Trailing 0-6 to 1-12 at half-time, the Magpies fought back with a second-half goal from Luke Donnelly and excellent scores from Gavin Reidy (0-7), Diarmuid Egan (0-3), Sam Kelly, Rhys Farmer & Kiernan Sheridan.

Well done to the team and management on reaching the semi final.
