It was disappointment this morning for our Minor Footballers who lined out at home against Parteen Meelick in Round 5 of the campaign.

Conditions were extremely difficult with incessant rain throughout, but credit to both sides for serving up a hard fought contest. The visitors settled quicker, registering some early scores that gave them a comfortable half-time lead.

True to form, the Magpies never gave up. They battled strongly after the break and were rewarded with 2-1 of their own, but despite their efforts, it wasn’t to be their day as Parteen Meelick held on for the win.
