Well done to our U17 Hurlers, who made it three wins from three with their Round 4 Championship victory this evening in Clarecastle against St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield.
In the first half both sides traded points but the turning point of the half came in the 26th minute when Killian Casey buried a penalty to push Clarecastle 4 points clear at the break.
Half-time: Clarecastle 1-10 St. Joseph’s DB 0-9.
A strong second-half display saw Clarecastle pull away to claim a 12 point win in a hard-fought contest. The Magpies’ eye for goal proved crucial, with goals from Sean Kelly, Sean Meere, Diarmuid Egan, and Jack Ellingstad sealing the victory. Accurate free-taking from Rory Ralph, along with points from Ruairi Keogh, Daragh McDonnell, Killian Casey, Jack Ellingstad and Fionn Plunkett, kept the scoreboard on target throughout.
