Clarecastle GAA Club would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the wider Russell family on the passing of Carmel Russell McGann, who sadly passed away yesterday morning.
The Russell family have been synonymous with our club, stretching back to our foundation. Both on and off the field generations of this storied family have served us well.
Carmel was a proud Magpie, who never left anyone in any doubt about her village roots and what they meant to her. Her support and presence will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts are with her husband Derek, son Steven, daughters Rachel and Chelsea, and their partners Olivia, Robbie, and Angelo; her adored grandchildren Bonnie Mae, Archie, Arya Winter, and Ellissa Rue; her sisters Anne Marie, Alice, and Patricia; brother Paraic; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, extended family, neighbours, and her wide circle of friends.
Funeral Arrangements:
Reposing at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Clarecastle on Wednesday, 14th May from 5pm, concluding with funeral prayers at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Thursday, 15th May at 12 noon, followed by burial in Clarehill Cemetery.
