A huge thank you to everyone who made our Irish language Junior Football Blitz at Clarecastle GAA yesterday afternoon such a fantastic success!

We appreciate the participation of Clarecastle, our visiting clubs Éire Óg, Cooraclare, and Wolfe Tones, all of whom have shown great commitment to promoting the Irish language within their clubs. Congratulations to all the teams and to Éire Óg, who were the winners on the day! 

A special thanks to our referees, Mark O’Dea and Flan O’Reilly, for their time and effort, and to our wonderful musicians, Liam McNamara, Caoimhe Parry, Maisie o Chonchubhair. Cathal and Sarah Pleimeann and Therese McInerney who kept the celebrations going in Powers afterwards.

A heartfelt go raibh maith agat to our Club Irish Cultural Officer, Síle Ní Dheargain, Club Chairman, Niall Tuohy, Football Manager, Brian Troy, for their excellent organisation. 

We were also delighted to welcome Aedín Ní Bhriain, Munster GAA
Irish Language Officer, on the day.

Thank you to our volunteers for their work behind the scenes who ensured the blitz ran smoothly.

It was a fantastic day celebrating football and our language.
