Well done to everyone who braved the weather this evening for the final week of the #IrelandLightsUp walk initiative.
A huge thank you for joining us in such great numbers over the past six weeks. Each week, we had over 105 participants sign in, which was a fantastic turnout.
#IrelandLightsUp and the Every Step Counts Challenge are part of the GAA’s ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellbeing among its members and the wider community. These initiatives are proudly supported by Irish Life, sponsors of the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs programme, which has engaged over 600 clubs in the past decade.
Clarecastle GAA had 59 participants take part in the Every Step Counts Challenge on the MyLife app over the five-week period. Together, we clocked an incredible 11,788.2 km, finishing 32nd out of 274 clubs in Munster—an outstanding achievement!
Even more impressively, we reached the required step count to be entered into the O’Neills draw after just two weeks! The challenge officially concluded last Wednesday, 12th February.
We hope you all enjoyed these past few weeks and that you’ll continue to stay active and keep stepping.
Thank you for your incredible support!
