Clarecastle qualified for the U21B County Final after overcoming Broadford in extremely difficult conditions in Ogonnelloe this afternoon. Wind and rain made it difficult but credit to both sides for playing up an hard fought game.

Broadford started well as they trailed by 2-4 to 0-7 scoring a goal just before the half time whistle.

In the second half Clarecastle started the strongest scoring 1-3 in the first 10 minutes resulting in a 3 point lead while Broadford only responded with a pointed free from a sideline. 

In the final quarter both sides exchanged points but it was the Magpies second goal through Paul O’Connell which put them on their way to a 2-13 to 2-09 win.

Clarecastle will meet Kilmaley in the Final on Sunday, venue to be confirmed.
