Hard luck to our U14 Ladies Footballers who lost the County Final against Fergus Rovers this afternoon in Clarecastle in a competitive hard fought game.
Despite a slow start, our girls battled back and hit some excellent scores to leave a 4 point margin at the interval.
In the second half, Fergus Rovers got the opening scores scoring 1-3. Clarecastle piled on the pressure scoring a further 1-3 through Grace Dwyer (0-2) and Biborka (1-1) closing the gap to the bare minimum.
However, Fergus Rovers dominated the last 10 minutes. A goal from Grace in the closing seconds of the game left 4 points between the sides at the final whistle.
