As you have probably have seen the HSE COVID tracker App has been launched, its available on the Google and Apple App stores we recommend to install the app to facilitate the HSE with contact tracing in case yourself or someone around you has been infected with COVID it could cut down the time to trace other contacts down to hours rather than days

Installing the app is a personal choice, the app is entirely anonymous in its set-up and use ( Googles explanation of how it works can be found here https://www.google.com/covid19/exposurenotifications/)

The technology developed by Google and Apple to facilitate the contact tracing, this is entirely anonymous

• does not collect your name, age or address
• does not hold your phone number unless you choose to share it
• cannot be used to track your location
• cannot be used to check if you should be self-isolating
• can only access information on your phone that you choose to allow
• cannot be used to identify your close contacts
• cannot be used to identify people who have tested positive for coronavirus

You can chose to share additional info with the HSE or not ( or omit the entire app altogether)
